Thai animators don’t sweat the small stuff in the Big Apple

July 22-27 a new group of faculty from universities across Thailand headed to New York on a special study tour – they wanted to meet and learn from small animation studios about real-world creative processing and production. The in-depth ideas they brought back cover video game design, children’s television, and commercial special effects. And the East Coast studios themselves got to spend a few summer hours going back to school with an audience of enthusiastic professors (and lucky Creative Partnership coordinators from the Royal Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and New York Consulate-General!). The group rounded out the week with a visit to the opening of 2012′s Siamese Connection, an annual art show and celebration hosted by the Thai Artists’ Alliance of New York.
