Lower Mekong trains GLOBE leaders

GLOBE logoThailand’s Institute for the Promotion of Science and Technology has its own active outpost of the Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) program.

Last week teaching professionals from across southeast Asia and Nepal came to Chiang Rai’s Mae Fung Luah University for a train-the-trainer workshop in earth science systems. To help explain the very active photo gallery below, let’s get into the nitty gritty: topics included soil, hydrology, atmosphere, and land cover, and the scientists covered a lot of ground on field visits and in laboratory classrooms.
