Chiang Mai Creative City celebrates one busy year

Consul General Susan Stevenson* and international innovation guru John Howkins say it better than we can. In these videos, government, academics, and businesspeople come together to consider one year’s progress, the next year’s projects, and announce 16 Goodwill Ambassadors for Chiang Mai as a creative community.

At the same time, Gen’ Green tapped into the amazing (photogenic) volunteer power of university students in partnership with the U.S. Consulate to improve Thailand’s environment…

…and the Thailand Creative And Design Center hosted seminars and breakout workshops for local industry about the practicalities of protecting their intellectual property.

Finally, it’s been over a month since the Chiang Mai IT group was launched on Facebook, and now almost 200 members are sharing information about opportunities, business methods, and additional networks.
