Creative Economy and Green Innovation

Posted on March 31, 2011

The Thai National Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy Office today hosted Hal Howard, Regional Environment, Science, Technology, and Health Officer from the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok. Hal spoke with an audience of over 80 participants during a session with Dr. Karndee Leopairote on trends in Creative Economy policy &emdash; part of STI’s annual Policy Forum series.

After a lot of Q&A contrasting Thailand’s Creative Economy development with American methods for targeting domestic innovation sectors – in parallel to its foreign policy goals, the second session focused on Innovations in Green Living. Very interesting presentations from groundbreaking architects such as Duangrit Bunnag and Dr. Atch Sreshthaputra, and discussion of social motivations and global climate change from energy expert Chou “SK” Siaw Kiang.

Download presentations from the STI site and Dr. Karndee’s page.
